ALICE & SuSE 8.0

Hi ALICE-List,
in a short time I want to start with ALICE. Before I spend a lot of time
I have some questions :
 
1)       Is ALICE able to install SuSE 8.0 (what’s about furhter
versions of SuSE) ?
2)       Where is the best place to abtain ALICE-Documentations ?
3)       The ALICE-RPM is not included in SuSE 8.0 (is this indicate
that SuSE 8.0 is not able to handled by ALICE) ?
4)       I’am thankfully for each informations for a “ALICE-Beginner”
