Did you use the tag <SYS_LANGUAGE>english</SYS_LANGUAGE>? You may also try the following in your SYS_LINUX_CFG-section: append initrd=initrd rw 2 root=/dev/fd0 linuxrc=auto2,yast1 ramdisk_size=65536 enableapic This worked for me.
