Getting a file located in a nfs-directory

Hello, 

  i would like to get a file, wich is located in a other nfs-directory than the 
  installation-directory. 
  I read somthing about a command called: <URL_NFS_FILE> in a "common"-section.

  What is the common-section?-Has somone an example for that command?
  Do I've other possibilities  to execute shell-scripts in another nfs-directory than 
  the installation-directory?
