Telnetd not in distribution?

I am hoping somebody will confirm my theory. Suse 8.1 distribution does not come with the in.telnetd daemon installed or as an option for install. I uncommented the line in inetd.conf to allow telnetd to work and yet it still does not. I then read the /var/log/messages file and saw the following entry whenever I tried to telnet to my machine: connect from 127.0.0.1 error: cannot execute /usr/sbin/in.telnetd: No such file or command. Sure enough the in.telnetd exe does not exist anywhere on my machine. I seached the Yast Software Module and did not see telnetd or in.telnetd as an option for install. Therefore I am assuming that it is no longer distributed? Please confirm. Thanks. Alex Wolff __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
