Suse 8.1 and SCSI

Hi 
 
I have a new super micro server P4DP6 SCSI Motherboard with on board
ultra 160 SCSI Adaptec dual channels (AIC-1899W); I am going to install
suse 8.1. It goes to the installation alright but when time to boot for
first time. Linux installation hangs at the blue screen with aic7xx. or
SCSI Multifunction. I know there is issue with that and work around was
with suse 7.1 but what about Suse8.1? Are there any special steps I need
to take in effect? Or is there something I have done wrong?
