I my case autodetection was fine but verify that!

Hallo,

just shortly my experiences:
I have installed SuSE 9.0 and WinXP Profesional on Siemens-Fujitsu 
notebook  (Lifebook E-Series) - everything went fine.

I had two partitions: 10GB - C: and 20 GB - D:. Firstly WinXP was 
installed on C:. User data were stored on D:.
Than D: was repartitioned via Partition Magic 8.0 - from D: I cut of 
10GB and leave it as unallocated space.
500MG from free space I allocated as FAT32 - transfer disc between SUSE 
and WinXP.
Than I installed SUSE - this auto detects unalocated space, created swap 
partition, etc.

SuSE created boot manager - GRUB. Modify the setting during installation 
or via Yast later on. Default OS system to boot is Linux.
