Did you try to minimize the number of packages installed?  Is there a
difference in the output of rpm -qa | sort  ?


awk -F'|' '{print $3 "-" $4}' </var/log/zypp/history  | grep  -v ^- | sort

does also, just in case rpm doesn't want to on the non-progressing
runlevel 3 system.


This is a bit far-fetched: I'm thinking, maybe "runlevel 5" has some
dependencies, "runlevel 3" also has, but arent't reflected in rpm/yast.
