Re: Use autoyast for upgrade ?

Hi,
you can lock your existing kernel in the installed system ( zypper
addlock ...).
So it should not be updated while an upgrade.
BUT another kernel will be installed in parallel and bootloader will
take this new one.
You can switch it off by unset
multiversion = provides:multiversion(kernel)
in the zypp.conf.

But be honest I would not suggest to keep the old kernel (espl. while an
upgrade SLES 11SP4 -> SLES12SP1 ) but I am sure that you will have a
reason for it. ;-)
