hah.. you missed the days when it was like 256 characters (or maybe it
was even less?).  That was REALLY fun.  We realized what was happening
when some of our pxe booted hosts would fail to image properly and we'd
notice the name (which we pass during pxe boot/imaging at the end of the
cmdline) would be chopped off.  Started doing some math and noticed it
was cut off at the same value across hosts.=20
