Hi, I got AlphaBios 5.7, using SuSE 7.1 Alpha Edition I got "Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:02". Milo (2.2.17) is on sda1 DOS partition with the kernel (2.2.19) - I was not able to get 2.4 working during installation - which was made and formatted using AlphaBios Disk utility. The installation is OK, I got the system quickly installed. But while rebooting the machine, after several error messages I got that kernel panic message. I got a 4,5 GB IBM U2W SCSI HDD and a QUANTUM ATLAS IV 9 GB U2W SCSI HDD in the computer. Milo recognizes these and the SCSI card together with the IDE CDROM without any problem during installation. The error messages look like: attempt to access beyond end of device 08:02: rw=0, want=2, limit=1 dev 08:02 blksize= 1024 blocknr=1 sector=2 size=1024 count=1 EXT2-fs: unable to read superblock After the same for MINIX-fs, MS-DOS, UMSDOS and isofs. I know the best way is SRM but it does not recognize my Adaptec card. Can somebody suggest me a possible solution to get my Miata working? Vakvarju
