sorry for my late response but I was traveling the last days.

You need on your boot-CD all the files of  .../axp/supplementary/8.1/boot/    
directory.
In my case also the three files of  .../axp/supplementary/8.1/media.1/    were 
necessary.
and from .../axp/supplementary/8.1/  I needed also    ARCHIVES.gz    ChangeLog   
INDEX.gz    ls-lR.gz   pubring.gpg
From the .../axp/supplementary/8.1/suse/setup/descr/   directory you need also 
all the files.
The files in the  "slide" directory were not needed in my case.

I used the same hierarchy on my boot-CD as is given on the ftp - server.

In this configuration I can use the boot-CD also as a rescue-CD which was not 
possible before.
