Can't install under SuSE 8.0

Hello all.

I had no trouble setting up DB2 7.2 EE under SuSE 7.3.  It works well.  On
a new box that is running 8.0, no such luck.  It seg faults after the
software is installed and it is configuring the instances.

If I then try to map a remote db, it says that it completes, but I am
unable to use the db.  When I do  a DB2 connect it just returns without
reporting anything - like the bad password I used - and anytime I do a
select I get that there is no connection.

So the 8.0 install is hosed.  Any ideas?
