Hi

I just installed DB2 v7.1 on SuSE 8.1.

It seems to be working OK, since i was able to use CLI to connect to the =
sample database.

BUT i am not able to run the Control Center.

When I log as db2inst1 and try the command "db2cc", I get the following =
error:

/usr/lib/jdk1.3/jre/bin/exe/java: error while loading shared libraries: =
libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or =
directory

There is a known problem during load of sharing libraries. This also =
happens trying to run Domino 5.0.9 on SuSE 8.1 (and it seems other IBM =
application have problems too). A solution for the Domino problem is =
found it
http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-domino/2002-Nov/0001.html

From the author of the same article:
"It is wrong workaround for a buggy JVM in some earlier RedHat release."

I tryed looking for a similar solution for DB2 and Control Center, but I =
was not able to find a "LD_ASSUME_KERNEL" variable on db2cc scripts, or =
running "env | grep LD_ASSUME_KERNEL" after crash....

Anyone has ideas or references to a possible solution?
