Thank you. That worked for installing. However, it seems I still am
having connection issues.

When I have mapped a database - with the same command used on the SuSE 7.3
system & I can connect. Now, under 8.0, I just can't seem to connect.
When I use db2cc and click on 'instances' under the mapped database, I get:

***************************
SQL0901N The SQL statement failed because of a non-severe system error.
Subsequent SQL statements can be processes. (Reason "Attach to V1 server
is invalid".) SQLSTATE=58004

DBA0102W Unable to detect nodetype for instance - "WFIELD". Reason Code: "
-1".

     Any ideas?

Hi

There is a doc on the support web that covers this
problem; there is a bug in the DB2 installer. To work
around this, see

 http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/db2_suli8.html

I used this procedure to get DB2 installed on Suse 8
OK. There is an IBM article on their website under the
Linux section which covers setting up DB2 and Lotus
Notes as a backend with Apache/Websphere as a front
end. Their DB2 setup instructions are fairly good.
