Wine is very stable with notes. I run it on a SuSE 7.3 and never had any 
problems. doesn't look as nice as it does with windoze, but I think it's 
only some fonts I have to add.
Try downloading the newest version of wine and run Notes 5.09a and you 
won't get any problems.
