New installation successfull

Thank you all for helping.

I needed to install Domino 5.0.9 on a SuSE 7.3 machine. I got several errors after installing, trying to run /opt/lotus/bin/http  httpserver  (described in a previous message).

For some strange reason, the FIRST installation must be fully completed. If not, I simply had to much trouble figuring it out (changing jdk, erasing and reinstalling Domino, etc)

What I finally did was:

1- Format disk and reinstall SuSE 7.3 (machine is brand new, so I can afford this). I also applied a lot o patches using YOU.

2- Verify LANG setup ( I used es_ES and not es_ES@euro. This was done even before my first installation, so i think this was not the problem)

3- Install IBMJava2 and use it as default java (running script "setDefaultJava IBMJava2" as root)

4- Copy file libjitc.so from /usr/lib/java/jre/bin/ to:
/lib
/opt/lotus/notes/50090/linux
/opt/lotus/notes/50090/linux/lib/linux/native_threads/
NOTE: When I was trying installation for the first time, I only had to use the last 2 directories to prevent the "libjitc.so not found" mesage when running "http htpserver". But this time I also copied it to /lib due to a suggestion in a previous message

5- Follow installation instructions in an article from SuSE support database.

Everything went ok from now on.


Now for a few questions:

What must I do to start Domino when I start the machine?
where is that rcdomino script, or how do I create it?
And How do I make sure to run the server as "notes" user?
Why Domino requieres that "notes" user runs "server" from /local/notesdata? This must be included in the Script?
