Dear Birgit,

well the Linux version of Domino is missing a filter that is required for
complete indexing of certain filetypes.
The less accurate fast index should work on a Domino Server. For details

Concerning your web retriever task I have no idea (but 8.0 is only
supported for Domino 6). I have already heard of Domino
running on 8.0 but have not tried for myself (and I do not use the web task
anyway).
