Oops, you're right!
If you do the design replace with the client instead of the server, the ODS
remains 41.
But it will not do any good either... :->

Replacing a R5-ODS database's template with a R6 template does not change
the
ODS (on-disk structure) to R6. Replicating a database from a R6 server to a
R5
server will result in a R5-ODS database on the R5 server, so here's no
problem
either.

The catch is that the R5 replica database will contain all design elements
of
the R6 database, including features which are not supported on an R5 server
(if
these features were used in the R6 database's design). That's where trouble

raises its ugly head, scratching its bottom, grinning... ;-)
