Thank you all for helping with this.

As Ingo Boernig asked, here is some feedback about this topic:

1. You can follow exactly the same procedure from database article
"Installation of Lotus Domino Server R5", up until #8
(I must add that you should ALWAYS check the RC_LANG configuration removing
the "@euro", because this ALWAYS causes problems with IBM applications.)

2. Follow instructions given in
http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-domino/2002-Nov/0001.html
(workaround)

3. Continue with instructions from the databse article

4. As mentioned by Thomas Schweikle (good work :) ) in
http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-domino/2003-Jan/0018.html, you can use
(and modifiy) the latest domrun from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/iboernig,
or use (and modify) scripts from Thomas.
(You can even leave the "START_DOMINO" variable in the domrun scripts if you
want to control startup, even though 8.1 is not using these variables
anymore.. a shame :( )

The server seems to be running Ok. I will post again after we have tested
this environment.
