Yes it does. Make shure you install compat. Java is an issue with Domino 
5.0.12, because the newer libs are compiled using gcc 3.x, while domino 
awaits them compiled using gcc 2.95.x.

There are two way to overcome the problem:
1. compile sun jdk yourself using gcc 2.95.x, or
2. use the wrapper libs for domino (slower).

Both ways work.

With Domino 6 you are able to use the sun jdk right away.
