Try to reinstall Trend Micro. Do not uninstall the product before. 

I have the same problem fixed with reinstall.

Hi,  
we are using ScanMail 2.6 Build 1249. 
Scanning by extension works, but is less secure. Scanning by attachment 
type causes the problem.

which ScanMail version ? which Build ?

blocking by "Attachment type" or by "Extension" ?
