You can try to redirect output to file ... in cronjob for example:
compact -C *.nsf > log.txt

hello,
I'm using a cronjob for stoping and starting domino in the night
(databackup); now I try to use a cronjob for using a compact -C when the
server is
down,- it works, but I'm searching for any logs to look, what it has
done..... I
only find the entry in var/log/messages where you can see that the cron
job
has run but not more....I just like to see, which databases it has
compacted
and so on...can I tell him to write this in a separate log?
some ideas?
thanks,
birgit
