Increasing of number of threads on libpthread

I believe that my question is more directed to SUSE, but can interest to all...

I need to configure a biggest domino installation, with aproximately 11.000 users, with a average of 3.500 concurrents users. According the customer domino team, they already had tested this environment using the domino-runtime package with the libpthread, and they aren't have success (according the report, they received a message as "can't open process"). Hardware configuration isn't a problem.

My questions:
- Someone has some idea about number of process that the libpthread pre-compiled can manager? (looking into the files I found a number: "8192");
- If this is the limit, can I increasing this value without problems (for example, to "32768")? What's the impact for the system (if exists)?
