This variable was designed in conjuction with kernels later than 2.4 and
with the glibc libs.
It is basically a way to make it easier for domino to support a wide range
of systems running on different kernels.

6.5 on Suse 9.0

Hi!

the solution is to set the Environment variable LD_ASSUME_KERNEL

On my suse 9.0 I use the following line in /opt/dominowrap/serverwrapper
from the domino-runtime-2.2-6 RPM:
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4

I tried 2.4.0 before and that worked too. Maybe 2.4.19 is working too. I
don't have any idea, what values are possible and what exactly they do.

Regards,
 Andreas
