Hello,

Maybe this helps:

We use a CIPE-tunnel to access a domino on the internet from another one
behind a masquerading gateway.
Works fine, particularly for pulling mail.

If you have a connection on the "inside" machine dialing e. g. all 5
minutes and your dialup timeout longer than that, your tunnel will remain
the whole day.

However, I don't know how to initiate such a connection from the "outside",
i.E. from the internet.
But if you can, please tell me how, because then I have to reconsider a lot
of my security knowledge...

Yours

Wolfgang Rosner

Hi,
has anybody tried to access a Domino server behind a DNAT (Destination NAT)
or via
portforwarding ??? I would like to access a Domino server (with a
non-public IP) via a
different server (which has a public IP) and I am currently not sure
whether or not the
server puts his IP somewhere into the (notes) protocoll (the hostname of
the domino
server would be no problem) .

best regards Rainer Walsdorf
