Hi @ll,

so, thank's for all your comments and experience reports .. unfortunately, 
I don't have any influence of OS decision ( it's for a customer ), so he 
choose Win2k server ... 

why :

SuSE 9.x is not officially supported by IBM ... ONLY SuSE/RedHat 
Enterprise Products !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my Q :

Why only enterprise products ?
