Currently I am in the testing phase of our new Domino Application Server (5.08) running on a standard SUSE 7.3 prof platform on a DELL Poweredge Server (PIII/1.13GHz/512MB) I have not much experience with Domino yet and I am astounded about the high memory usage of Domino (nearly all of the 512 MB is occupied) and the System monitor shows 168 processes running of which 80 belong to the "notes" user = Domino. (23 processes named "server", 6 named "router" and lots of "http" owned by user notes) The CPU usage is low (as expected in the testing phase) approx. 10%, most of the processes sleeping. I found no hint on the Internet or in the documentation describing "normal conditions", maybe notes has the strategy to grab all the memory "just in case" it could be needed? Could anybody give a newbie (me) a hint on what to consider "normal" and if I should add more memory to the machine. We plan to support 150 Users, but currently there is not much traffic on the system.
