Find the nsd log file. Ensure your notesdata directory is owned by your notes user and not root. Due to some problem I had to move it to some other machine. So all I did is,I installed similar SuSE on the other machine and then installed Domino 6.5.2 Then I copied all the data from old machine's /local/notesdata to new machine. But now server does not start, no usuful info is found in the log file as well.
