I haven't tried it Michael but I can't offhand see why it would be a problem. I would ask myself the following questions though: Is SLES9 a supported version of UnitedLinux as defined by IBM? What advantage does it give you over SLES8? Does it need to be or is it for your own investigation? I run a very very solid SLES8 with Adaptec RAID 2410SA as my development server. It runs for weeks at a time and has given no bother at all. The installation wasn't totally straightforward because of the RAID but once done it's been dandy. Also, have you seen the book http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg246835.html?Open it's not that new but gives very good information about the whole process.
