We only have around 500 users, and we never get as high as that.

I am using the Domino Runtime package. I also have the following
parameters in the /etc/sysconfig/domino file:

DOMINO_JAVA_CONSOLE="no"
LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4

Lastly, running 'uname -a' gives me this:

Linux domsvr1 2.4.21-138-smp #1 SMP Fri Oct 31 00:51:31 UTC 2003 i686
unknown

The server has one CPU, but it is dual-core so it appears as two.
