Where is your mount point? Is it a subfolder of /local/notesdata? If it is, for example, /local/notesdata/logdir then you need to specify 'logdir' as the log path in the server document. If it's in another path altogether, such as /mnt/logdir, you'll need to specify that path in the server doc. You should be aware that unless the mount point is on it's own disk there will be no performance gain.
