Automated updates of packages requiring --interactive

Before I implement this myself... What does other people with _many_ machines do to update kernel packages (in particular) automatically without going through the interactive dialogue? The Auto= option didn't help, and ping from echo/file isn't very elegant. My thoughts is to do a -yes option I can do on my 100 or so workstations to upgrade kernels, and/or a fou4s.conf option that lets me specify packages that can be updated that way.
