I just rolled back sysconfig to 0.50.9-13 (from the DVD) and: alessia:~ # fou4s --inverse -i --nopatchrpms ftp-1.gwdg.de: Checking [#################################] 100 % sysconfig 0.50.9-13.7 (0.50.9-13 ) [dl] recommended 280kb Getting ftp-1.gwdg.de:rpm/i586/sysconfig-0.50.9-13.7.i586.rpm Installing sysconfig-0.50.9-13.7.i586.rpm Running SuSEconfig ... However: alessia:~ # fou4s --inverse -iv --nodeltarpms ... =================================================================================================================== libzypp-zmd-backend 7.1.1.0-42.21 (7.1.1.0-40 ) [dl] recommended 195kb Getting ftp-1.gwdg.de:rpm/x86_64/libzypp-zmd-backend-7.1.1.0-42.21.x86_64.patch.rpm I think that there may be problem with update rpms (including patch and deltas) that are downloaded, but not installed because of temporarily missing (mutual) dependencies. When the missing updates are subsequently downloaded there does not seem to be a further attempt to install the previous rpms. I apologize for the convoluted language - I find it difficult to read myself. :( -- ray --
