habe nun einmal zum Test noch unter 15.6 die oss virtualbox-Pakte deinstalliert und die gleiche 
Version aus dem oracle-repo installiert (7.1.4)

Ergebnis beim Start:
:~> VirtualBox 
Qt FATAL: FATAL: The application binary appears to be running setuid, this is a security hole. 
Abgebrochen (Speicherabzug geschrieben)

Ist nicht gerade vertrauenserweckend.
