whats the difference between copy from server to dolphin or to digikam?

Hi,

I connect to my server passwordless with the ssh keys. I can use dolphin 
for about everything with files. Copy, move in both directions from one 
dolphin window to another.

Now when I select some files in dolphin on the server side and drag them 
to a digikam "album" (which is just a folder), I get "directory does not 
exist" - nothing happens.

Locally I can easily copy or move files from dolphin to any "album" in 
digikam, but not from the server. The other way round - selected images 
from digikam dragged to dolphin server window - just works normal.

What is the difference here?

Is there anything I can do, so that copying/moving from server directly 
to local digikam is also possible?
