Neiighter do I. On TW since ~2012 when it was not yet officially released ( that
happened in 2014 )

Sorry, but from this list I have a "slightly" different impression

I, in all my TW years had only one real issue, being the upstream bug in
ddcutil ( that btw only occurred on some relatively new AMD hardware, and then
only on KDE Plasma, both X11 and Wayland ). To mention the /usr move of /etc,
there indeed has been a lot of discussion, not so much distro related issues.
The step in itself IMHO should be adapted by all distros, mainly for the
reason of the separation of package owned configs in /usr/etc and the user/
admin overrides in /etc. No more messing around with .rpmnew / .rpmsave and so
on. From the forums' posts re. TW: most of the time the reported issues are
not distro issues, but the addidtion of 3rd party repos ( also Packman, which
the average user often does not need at all these days.). Same on Leap btw.
And all that with the restriction that if you have AMD & need hardware
accelleration & you refuse to use flatpaks, then you need Mesa from Packman.

As a test, you could create a VM with TW using all the defaults, and then dup
it on every snapshot announcement, testing the DE and after a month evaluate
your experiences. I think that will be "slightly" different than the impression
you have now. Mind, to keep it fair, stick with the defaults. Compare it to
test-driving a car for a month, you drive that as it is to get proper test
results.

Summarized: My experiences with TW ( currently a 3 yo, a 6 yo and a 10 yo
install, never reinstalled ) are totally different than your perceptions.
