How about trying a different approach?
$ sudo nmcli device wifi connect "SSID" password "PASSWORD" ifname wlan1

Does this detect wireless and provide you a choice of which to connect too?
Or must you already know what I can not know until there is a working
application which will provide information to use.
I hate the idea of trying to go back to 15.5 just to have wireless.

sudo nmcli device wifi connect "SSID" ifname wlan1
[sudo] password for root:
Error: No network with SSID 'SSID' found

Seems I have to know ssid first. Wireless seems not to be workable so the
library is a no go.
Ill just have to pay for more internet time and forget the whole thing and
wait for the new system and hope 16.0 has working wireless.
