Signal-desktop stopped working on Tumbleweed (rpms from obs outdated)

Hi there,

My question: Signal Desktop just stopped working on my Tumbleweed, suddenly, 
because Signal blocked my version (8.5) that comes from the network 
repository. It's from April. 

Now a commet on mastodon insinuates that the package isnt maintainted anymore 
- 
Is that true? 
Can we help? 
How? 
Or do we have to switch to Appimage for this... ?

I'll try to write him... and I'll try to find out which versions Signal still 
accepts.
