I tried the one with the repos, the "all distribution" one on the 
VirtualBox site,
and the VB  rpm.  It's possible that the others would have worked but the
VB rpm one is the one that was installed when I got it working. It's working
now, why mess with success?

Is there another one?  BTW, I've been working with SUSE support on other
matters and my contact said, "VirtualBox used to be decent, but it is far
behind now... I prefer KVM and VirtManager."

It was the KVM kernel modules that killed VB.
