As far as I know, no, the yast partitioner can't be used during a Leap 16
install.  But if you have a working Leap 15.6 system with the partitions
the way you want,  the migration-tool won't change anything.  Then,
once migrated use the YaST partitioner.

You can also do a fresh install of Leap 15.6 and use its partitioner,  then
use the migration-tool to upgrade to Leap 16.  I did just this a few
times last year.  It was also a way around the graphics problems that
Leap 16 seems to have.  I've seen this happen both with and without
Nvidia GPU's.    I wonder if the recent Leap 16 re-spin fixed these
problems?

By the way, I think I finally understand a big reason for Yast's
deprecation.
SUSE is addressing the need to install and manage systems in the cloud,
with Agama being web enabled, remote systems could be installed just
with a browser.   And it looks like most yast plumbing is still in place for
non-cloud usage.  Yes, I'm happy again.

Surely the graphics issues I've seen with fresh Leap 16 installs will be
fixed, maybe even with this recent re-spin that I think I saw mentioned?
