The entire reason google killed Manifest V2 and refused the uBlock developers attempts to find a middle-ground to allow google, et. al. to shove more ads in your face, period. Mozilla has committed to maintaining Manifest V2 compatibility (at least as of now). Given the cesspool the tech companies and miscreants have turned the internet into, every bit of convenient protection you can use helps. There are workarounds, none that convenient to simply allows the browser to work as it should and Manifest 2 extensions to simply update as they should. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
