I tested it in a virtual machine, and the system failed. I wrote at the=20

XFCE panel is gone totally because there was a problem with an
applet (the applet is gone in 16.0, checked in another VM, needs
repo "X11:Utilities"). No menu at all. Network is down, and I saw
some messages during boot regarding "wicked", so no switch to NM.
So I continued testing and solving problems, and wrote down what I did=20
and why.
