Carlos, really updating BIOS these days is not what it used to be. Using fwupdmgr ( through CLI, GNOME Software, Discover ) is easypeasy. And, Lenovo is very good at it. Not just for Windows. Do yourself a favor, step down from your prejudice and see how easy and safe it is. Another thing is the point that most laptops are not good in hibernating anyway ( don't ask me why ), and that probably all of us use Suspend to RAM. Power consumption goes down to almost zero, and resume is 100 times faster. And that is what laptops are designed to do. -- Gertjan Lettink a.k.a.
