No, I have global search off.

This really looks like a race-condition or deadlock somewhere in the 
code. It may spend an hour stuck spinning its wheels only allowing small 
amounts of actual processing to take place when the event-loop is 
allowed to complete (I don't know if there is some type of timeout to 
ensure the event-loop is never deadlocked, but if there it -- it's 
painfully slow)

It took 10 minutes after clicking on this message before the text 
appeared.. Then after it churns for an hour or two, it may behave right 
for a couple of hours before hitting whatever condition it hits again.

In my research there were similar problems when 140 was released on 
Fedora, etc.., so this may be a regression, and it may only apply in 
some corner-case I happen to be triggering.

It is also gmail related. The other accounts are more or less responsive 
subject to the churn on gmail. I went through Mozilla's gmail howtos on 
switching "sent" to the gmail "sent mail" and setting archiving to the 
google "All Mail" folder. From what I can tell, that made no difference, 
but now I have thousands of copied headers in the "All Mail" folder that 
is annoying.

I'm hoping the next update helps, this is just exacerbating. It's 
pegging on core a 90% as I type here and the little blue busy bar in the 
state bar has been pegged for hours....
