Hi, i recognized it about last year in january first, when i have made updates, that the nfs response will slowing down. now with the update from 01/2026 to 08/2026 another drastic drop of response speed. situation: tumbleweed host is running nfs server (and client) guest qemu is running a suse linux 10.1 (because of propetary software (cad)) (also server and client) the prop software safes mostly small files (often smaller than 1mb) direct on the nfs of the host. up to about end of 2024 there where no delay from pressing the save button to continue work. now i have from save (or load) some seconds of delay. and i noticed also even if the prompt is back, when i mostly with mc strg+r (reread a directory) from another physical computer (also server&client) in my network the directory where the file should appear, it will be seen not immediately, have to press several times strg+r and after some seconds also this computer did see the file. so also from here there is a delay of refreshing the content of a dir. this is annoying. from the physical computer inside automnt i have since years the line: mydirectdir -fstype=nfs,retrans=1,retry=0,soft,tcp destination:/path in the virtual suse10.1 i have only: mydirectdir destination:/path i guess its some "new/better security" feature at serverside? did anybody have same slow down noticed? and or have a solution? simoN -- www.becherer.de
