From what you have both said, that seems to be the problem. I'll have to get a cheap PCI 128 card, which I suppose must be Sound blaster compatible. I don't do any hi-fi stuff on the computer, so it doesn't need to be a very expensive one. Many thanks for the advice and information. I really do appreciate it. 73 Keith G4JVX
