Hello Dave! Thank You for info and encouragement! Do You know the latest source wheere we get the ADIF specification, and may be snippets for reading in ADIF files!? A friend, Axel, is building a prog that can show a log on map, I will forward this mail to him, and to our mailing list hfterm for the pactor program. See you GÃŒnther Hi Gunther I say Adif because that it what most of the programs I've seen use and it is also the format used by Eqsl.cc which I now use for all my qsl's. If you are writting a new program I would suggest Adif as at least one of the outputs.. It is also helpful if there is some way to select the log enteries you want to transfer.. X-log can do Adif but there is as yet not selection process and that is unfortunate because everytime I want to upload my log info to Eqsl.cc the entire log has to be reuploaded. For me this is not a great problem but for DX stations that make thousands of qsos it may infact be a big problem. 73 Dave kc1di -------Original Message------- From: GÃŒnther Montag Date: Wednesday, June 25, 2003 9:06:51 AM To: Pastor-KC1DI Cc: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [suse-ham-e] what Ham logging programs ? I am also looking for logging programs I myself helped to implement a little log facility in "hfterm" (pactor linux soundcard prog) and am still improving it. But I am most interested in: What format should I output ? If You say ADIF this helps me, so that e.g. the output of my prog can be input for better & bigger log prog.
