IA-64 Installation Whoas

I have tried to install SLES 9 on an intel IA-64 server. When yast starts up the
whole installation freezes. This happens no matter what options I pass to the
kernel.

Any ideas or is there another list tailored to IA64?

I should say it was already suggested that I use SP3 CDs for the installation as 
opposed to the original.
