IDS 9.21 for Itanium?

That's it, i need to run IDS 9.21 over itanium (HP rx2600).

I want to know, which version of SLES to use?

I've seen at ibm's site that this version of informix only supports kernel 
2.2, would it be possible to make it work with sles8 or sles9?.

It has to be sles8 or sles9 because that's what hp supports with his server 
rx2600.
