I rebuilt mine, and found that one issue is that auth is set to Gmail, where it should be PLAIN. Before rebuilding the account, first do akonadictl fsck akonadictl vacuum. If you keep getting 'unreferenced' messages, check whether ~/.local/share/ akonadi/file_lost+found exists, if not create it -- Gertjan Lettink a.k.a.
